THEY SAY HE COULD SEE THE WIND
A tribute to Dale Earnhardt

Few are born for greatness,
Few will ever achieve fame.
He never wanted either,
But everyone knew his name.

He set a high standard,
Others can only strive for.
He was one helluva racer,
Always battling door to door.

CHORUS:

They say he could see the wind,
He could always find the groove.
All drivers had to respect him,
When he made his move.

They say he could see the wind,
A true champion on the track.
With 7 Winston Cup wins,
We'll miss the man in black.

He'll always be The Intimidator,
In our hearts a special place.
Watch over all the drivers,
Your spirit will be at every race.
