Daytona - Gatorade Duel 150's

(1st race) 2/15/07

Pace car heads in - 1st full racing of the year,
The roar of the engines - music to our ears!
Gilliland on pole - they quickly go 3 wide,
Ragan jumps in front - giving Gilliland the slide.

First caution flying - they beat and bang in the back,
All head in - 'ceptin Mikey who stayed on track.
Mikey tagged Jr. - bringing caution # 2,
Several head back in to visit their crew.

Stewart gets green - he and Gilliland fight,
Allmendinger hits Robby - 3rd caution takes flight.
Stewart gets green - they all get in line,
Fourth caution waving - it's pit stop time.

Jeff Burton gets restart and Ragan goes around,
Next green in air - Jeff Burton leads 'em down.
Here comes Tony - he's one fast fellow,
Sorenson blows an engine - causing 6th yellow.

Finally going green - Stewart jumps on top,
With only a few to go - they begin to drop.
Ward looses it - as they come down to the end,
Stewart leads green white checkered to get the win.

(2nd race) 2/15/07

Ricky Rudd on pole for the 2nd race,
But at green - Stremme is setting the pace.
Teammate Montoya to point - they all line up,
He's a rising rookie in the Nextel cup.

Baby Busch goes by - then Montoya's tire goes down,
It's the Busch brothers - wearing the point crown.
Kyle still on top and leads past ½ way,
2nd caution flying - Vickers is done for the day.

Kurt Busch jumped up front - passed his bro,
It's getting dicey with less then 10 to go.
Kenseth is on Kyle's tail - other's beat and bang,
Jeff Gordon gets checkered - no one else can hang!
