DAYTONA 500 2/18/07

First race Daytona - Rookie Gilliland on pole,
Sitting next to him is the Ricky Rudd of ole.
Green flag falls - Gilliland stays ahead,
He leads to caution 1 - for a spin by Boris Said.

Kurt Busch out first - in control his Miller Lite,
Finally Stewart leads - until green pits in sight.
After the cycle - Tony Stewart still sits on top,
Kyle Petty with problems - 2nd caution flag drops.

Harvick gets green - then Baby Busch jumps around,
But it's big bother Kurt who starts kicking it down.
Kurt pulls away - as they trade paint in the back,
He and brother Kyle have control of the track.

Pits under green - it's all Kurt Busch again,
Stewart comes right back and they both take a spin.
Third caution flying - drivers head to their stall,
Restart to Truex - it's about to be a brawl.

Tight in a pack - it becomes a big mess,
It's a big one taking out some of the best!
Mark Martin gets green - he's never won here before,
Blaney couldn't make it - smacked Shrader in the door.

Ten laps to go - Mark Martin gets the green flag,
Kenseth taps McMurray & a bunch of them tag!
Red flag in air - looks like we're going into overtime,
It will be green, white, checkered at the line.

Martin gets green - Baby Busch on his rear,
White flag waving - all start creeping near.
They start crashing - Harvick gets a run,
He inches past Martin to become number one!!
