WATKIN'S GLEN 8/11/02

Ricky Rudd and Waltrip took Glen's front row,
Several laps in - Kenseth brings 1st yellow.
Back runners go pittin' - then it's back to green,
Robby Gordon fronts his Cingular machine!

A long run - brings a pit cycle round,
Those who pitted early are gaining ground.
Thru the gravel - Nemechek causes # 2,
They stack up and bang as the restart flew!

Stewart gets a great jump & pulls away,
3rd yellow waving - Busch creates a smoke spray!
After a long clean-up, up front's Hamilton's 55,
On restart Jeff Burton's in rocks but stays alive!

Rusty give up the lead - Newman slides on top,
Skinner blows his engine - 4th caution flag drops.
Newman leads to green - behind him they're packed,
Stewart takes lead - then Junior goes off track.

Pulling away is Tony - now Craven's in the sand,
To yellow Robby passes Rudd - Ricky gives him "the hand."
Less then 10 to go - green again flies in air,
Two through 10 fighting - as Stewart takes off with flare!

Brakes gone for Herman - he's into the gravel bed,
With only 3 to go - NASCAR throws the red.
Stewart jumped restart - as they start again,
Doesn't matter anyway, he got the win.
