TALLADEGA, AL AARON'S 499 -- 4/21/02

Talladega excitement - for Rookie Johnson it's # 2,
A waving sea of colors - it's 3 wide as the green flew.
Shrader's lucky charm - was not so lucky after all,
Hit ignition killed - from a role cage pad fall.

Still 3 and 4 wide - through a long green run,
A green pit cycle again brings Junior to # 1.
Mikey takes lead as we get through ½ way,
All fans standing and waiting on the maylay.

As the Talladega tornado continues to spin,
Still it's caution free - so they start to trickle in.
First caution is flying - there's debris in turn 4,
All trading paint and getting donuts on their door.

Single file again - it's a game of follow Little E,
Right behind him is Herman; teammates is the key!
About 50 to go - they start kicking it down,
Then Stewart smacks the wall and goes around.

Finally got the "big one" - 'bout 20 in the crash,
Some even on fire - tons of sheet metal trashed!
After a long clean up - finally the restart flies,
Now the moves and decision have to be wise!

Junior still on point with about 10 to go,
Then Mark Martin and oil bring 3rd yellow.
Single file restart as they come to green flag,
Holding 'em off is Mikey - as Jr. got the bag!
