SONOMA, CA Dodge/Save Mart 350 6/21/02

Tony Stewart on pole in Sonoma's country of wine,
Jeff Gordon takes over - through the gears they grind!
Sterling blew belts and was running hot,
Pit window open - all leaders start their stops.

Gordon suddenly slow - heads behind the wall,
Broke his rear gear - 2nd points leader to fall.
Stewart again leads - 'til Kenseth oils the back,
Busch takes over as Jimmy throws green on the track.

Jr. spun out - but he gets going again,
Then Benson takes a slide through turn 10.
No yellow out - Busch leads through ½ way,
Nadeau takes a spin - second caution today.

Busch beat Bill Elliot cross pit road line,
But by not coming in - leader is Todd Bodine.
Bodine now spins - lead goes to lucky 43,
Then into the gravel spins Kyle Petty.

Kyle gets going - Andretti still setting the pace,
Then Boris Said spins - 3rd caution of the race.
For a lot of cars - this is a big fuel break,
Several stayed out - everyone in Elliot's wake!

Elliot slides wide - and starts loosing ground,
Nadeau takes over and Blaney spins round!
Atwood spins too - but still no yellow flies,
With so many turns - you have to be wise!

Nadeau still leading - others came from the rear,
But with 2 to go - he broke all his gears!
Rudd takes over - to take the checkered
Sonoma a place for spins and wreckers!!
