Race Week - Twin 125 Race One - 02/14/02

Coming to the green, Rookie Johnson on top
But owner, Gordon, in front quickly drops.
Geoffrey Bodine got pushed out of bounds,
But takes the penelty as they come around.

Johnson below the line - he's penalized too
For a stop & go penalty - he heads to his crew.
Lining up single file - the front 5 pull away
But the real fight is in back they'll all say.

Several go laps down & some call it quits
Johnson got a rub & heads to the pits.
Shrader takes a look & Jr. makes a run
But Gordon takes the win - leading from lap one.

Race Week - Twin 125 Race Two - 02/14/02

Kevin Harwick on pole for the second race
They go four wide as Mikey sets the pace.
Still in a pack - Stewart gives a scare
Then passes Mikey & teammate Bobby is there.

Smoke in turn two - as several smack
First yellow today is flying over the track.
This accident makes several lose their chance
Green again flies and the colors start to dance.

Mikey still leading - as Burton's tire blows
Teammate Biffle has problems - into the wall he goes.
Spencer is falling apart & hits the wall
All cars slow as the second yellow falls.

Some go pitting - adjustments being made
There's bumping and banging as green waves.
A charge by Tony - but then he gets stuck
Being in the middle is pure bad luck!

Mikey still leads - as they come to the end
Now it boils down to "who raced in "
Waltrip holds 'em off & keeps the lead
Some raced in - others it'll be on speed.
