MICHIGAN - SIRUS 400 6/16/02

Dan Akroyd throws green on Father's day,
Michigan's front row led by poler DJ.
Awesome Bill takes lead - then Newman goes by,
Junior now leads - but again Elliot is fly!

Pit cycles start - after a long green run,
Elliot out of gas puts Mikey as number 1.
Saddler, then DJ led - 'til another pit window,
In the middle of pitting - Andretti brings yellow.

Almost out of fuel - all leaders come in,
DJ leads past ½ way - as green flies again.
Mired in traffic - but DJ is working it through,
There's debris on the back & the 2nd yellow flew.

Busch didn't pit - their team is playing the odds,
Jeff Gordon gets a lap back - as Ward throws a rod.
Newman the new leader after a great pit stop,
But here comes DJ - who again sits on top.

Kenseth takes over - but now Johnson's on his rear,
He takes over and leads 'til green pits loom near.
Will it be fuel only or tires numbering 2 or 4,
Kenseth a great pit - fronts his Dewalt Ford!

Elliot Saddler brings a caution - as he spins around,
Cars now sitting still - as the red flag falls down.
After a quickie yellow - they all beat and bang,
Kenseth holds DJ off - another win for the Roush gang.
