Kenseth won pole - but had to start in the back,
Rudd takes lead as Jimmy throws green on the track.
Debris in the way causes the first yellow,
Several trading paint - it's a busy pit road!

Todd Bodine & Nemechek bring caution # 2,
All leaders go in - adjustments by the crews.
Mark Martin out 1st - leads a long green run,
Then trouble in 2 gets him plus the 12 and 1.

Drivers all go in - four fresh ones and some gas,
Jeff Gordon takes lead - 'til Protégé Johnson goes past.
Johnson opens it up and leads through half way,
As green pit cycle starts - Kenseth brings 4th caution today.

Rookie Johnson out 1st - great stop by his guys,
Again he pulls away as the restart green flies.
In air it's yellow # 5 - Jeff Green got stung,
Restart green flying - DJ now on the top rung!

A quick caution flies - it's Mark Martin again,
Who will stay out and who will come in?
Ricky Rudd stayed out and inherited first place,
But those who took four now set the pace!

Rookie Johnson flying - he's making up ground,
He caught Rudd quickly - then flew around!
Yellow flying - Shrader's 36 sitting still,
Johnson stayed out - holding 'em off for the till.
