DAYTONA, FLA - PEPSI 400 7/6/02 (Sat.)

Harvick on the pole for Daytona at night,
Immediately Stewart spins and yellow takes flight.
During restart - several bump and grind,
Benson's in the wall - it's caution at the line.

Back to green - up front goes the 24,
Then Mike Wallace spins - he got hit in the door.
We're tearing up the grass as the 3rd yellow flew,
As pit road opens - all leaders file through.

Jeff Burton new leader - because he didn't go,
Now at 25 down - it's NASCAR's called yellow.
Going back green - Sterling climbs on top,
Herman smacks the wall and brings more pit stops.

Mikey is out first - and takes 'em to the green,
Cars tight in a pack - space here is lean!!!
Mikey and Jr. 1-2 as we go past ½ way,
Will this be a DEI Daytona replay?

Pits under green - all need tires and grass,
Mikey and Jr. again lead - pulling out fast!
6th caution waving - Stewart spins again,
Front leaders stay out - but a few are coming in.

Will it make a difference - we'll wait and see,
Going back green - it's a demolition derby!
Got the "Big One" and Brett Bodine's on fire,
At least 15 were mangled in the mire.

Green is in air - 17 laps left in the race,
Then debris on the track again slows the pace.
Mikey takes green - it's a single file restart,
He wins under caution in his Chevy Napa Auto Parts!
