Cars mixing it up - spinnin' like a blender
Tony got impatient and tore off Andretti's fender.
Time for green pits - all head to their crew,
Oh! Through the gravel Nemechek flew.

No yellow out as Ron Fellows takes the lead,
'Til he's sitting still, another yellow to heed.
Jeff Burton stays out and leads with Jr. on his ass
Several laps later - Junior tries to pass.

Burton holds him off and leads thru half way
Needing tires and gas - drivers head to their bay.
Leaving the pits on fire is the Lowe's Chevy,
Robby hops out unhurt - but his heart is heavy.

Still staying out - up front is where Craven sits
But then losing a part he has to pit.
Again in the kitty litter - DJ is toast,
Puts Jeff Burton in front as they coast.

Green flies - gas pedals to the floor,
Jeff Burton running 1st - then comes DuPont's 24.
Beating and banging turning left and right,
Coming to the end - it's a Jeff and Jeff fight.

Caution is out - there's oil all over the track,
Spencer blew his engine - so they'll restart single stack.
Wiggling back and forth to get the tires clean
But a pile-up in the "esses" blows the green.

Five to go - as the restart green waves,
Several go spinning but make great saves!
Jeff & Jeff still jockeys kicking their horses,
Gordon takes the win - King of the road courses.
