On Charlotte pole is team K-Mart,
Pace car dives in and we get green start!
Spencer then Bodine lead - until 1st yellow,
Elliot Saddler the victim - to pits leaders go.

Nemecheck out 1st - then they go three wide!
Leffler then grabs a couple as he back slides.
Stewart takes the lead - then Sterling's on top,
But 3rd caution flies - during some of the pit stops.

Sterling still leading - but several now way behind,
4th caution flying - there's debris at the white line.
Several get lucky and get their lap back,
Still leading is Stewart - as green falls on the track.

Long takes a spin but makes a great save!
Leaders all pit - so it's Ward as green waves.
Johnson got to high - he goes spinning around,
Nadeau and Pressley bump and go round and round.

Needing tires and gas - all leaders go pit,
Benson didn't stop and got the $ at the split!
Stewart took back over - but Marlin's on his rear,
Green pits taking place now as time is drawing near.

Again caution flies - Busch send smoke everywhere,
Stewart resumes the lead as restart flies in the air.
Better in long runs - taking over Sterling's Coors Light,
He took off and left 'em - as checkered took flight!
