Spencer slides by Gordon - barely missing him.

Three different leaders - 'til Casey's into the wall,
Gordon snagged by Herman in the pit call.
Skinner then Rusty led - now Spencer flies by,
A long green run means pit stops are nigh.

Several go pitting and Park is caught speeding,
Martin, Kenseth then Sadler were leading.
Cycle complete - Spencer again on top,
Then Ward took over - 'til more green stops.

Ward still leading - 2nd green cycle down,
Hamilton Jr. wall scrapes - all cars are pit bound.
Green again waving - from 1 Burton to another,
Jeff leads at the ½ - as all donut each other.

Bobby Labonte goes to 1st - 'til the 5th yellow,
Herman smacked the wall and Pressley did follow.
After a long caution - again it's Burton's 99,
But Bobby L shoots by coming to the line!

Labonte continues to lead to the pits under green,
Cars filtering to the pits - stops are routine.
Early stoppers will still need another splash,
Smoke in the air - a Bobby Labonte flash.

Yellow flies - as he spins through turn two,
What a break for pitters - especially Nadeau,
Leader Jerry dropped gears - he goes a pitting,
Seems like tonight team Hendrix is snake bittin'.

Back up front Jeff Burton is leading Harvick,
All driver hoping to get up front quick.
Burton holds on for the prized checkered flag,
Finally Jeff and Roush racing got one in the bag.
