Craven quickly first - as he checked out,
Then Texas Terry and Chad had a bout.

Back to green - there's fightin' in the pack,
A spin by Skinner - 2nd yellow on the track.
Some stayed out, and some went in,
Craven still on top - going green again!

Back sliding is Craven - 1st now Geoff Bodine,
All trying to run that bottom line.
Under the green - the front few pit stop,
As Tony the Tiger now sits on top.

Third caution flies - it's Spencer's 26,
Restart brings a scrambled mix.
Ward gets his lap back - got yellow for rain,
Red now waving - bad weather a pain.

About an hour later - green is thrown,
Andretti is garaged - his engine blown.
Stewart still leading in his Home Depot,
Took the crossed flags and the ½ way dough.

Pits under pressure - all need tires and gas,
Most took four - in their pit pass.
As clouds roll in - more raindrops on our head,
Yellow flag pits 'em - then turns to red.

Kenny Irwin will be missed by all,
The rain, like our tears, continue to fall.
