Rusty on the pole - Gordon by his side,
Green flies - and thru 30 they glide.
Steve Park tags the wall in two,
Rusty still leading - as he's prone to do.

Second yellow for Blaney and Todd Bodine,
Out of the pits - Rusty 1st across the line.
Ward didn't pit, now he's on top,
DW behind him - at green they stomp!

Rusty starts lapping - 'til third yellow,
Mark Martin hits DW - our hearts are low.
Quick 4th caution - picked up DJ,
Jeremy on the wall - his tire in fray.

Stewart took 1st - after a long fight,
Finally passed Rusty's Miller Lite.
The window opens - green pits begin,
Then another caution cuz the 31 & 32 spin.

Stewart still leading in his Home Depot,
Got crossed flags for the ½ way dough.
Then Mark Martin took the lead,
'Til caution six took the 94 and 18.

Back to green - Rusty leads 'em down,
Then Spencer and Pressley spin round.
As we got going - spinning is the 31,
Pace car off - more bump and run.

Debris brings out caution number 9,
Green waving for a double file line.
Pressley spins - so all leaders get four,
Thundering again, they're door to door.

# 11 flies - Pressley's a fire ball,
Then Musgrave spins to the inside wall.
David Green also spins the Micky D's,
Right in the curve of turn three.

Little E brings 12th yellow in air,
Mayfield and Hamilton spew debris everywhere.
Back to speed Ward taps his cat,
Rusty passes as the back few tap.

In the air - fireworks now explode,
As under the checkered Rusty rode.
