Green waves as DJ leads 'em down,
The 2 rookies stand their ground.
1st caution waves - it's Jr.'s #8,
Gordon out first - to become Martin's bait.

Wally spun in four - he's into the grass,
Leaders start pitting - all need gas.
Awesome Bill - gonna restart first,
'Til Skinner shoots by with a burst.

Third yellow - leader Burton blows a tire,
Slides to the bottom - his car on fire!
After restart - finally got a long green,
Pit window opens - attention by the team.

At the ½ - leading is Skinner's Lowes,
A spin by Pruett - a tire he blows.
On restart - only 10 on the lead lap,
Then caution out - it's # 17 Matt.

Pits for all - they get fresh four,
Green drops - battling door to door.
5th caution waves - Dallenbach sits still,
Earnhardt pits - keeping it real!

Skinner checks out - behind is the fight,
Flying through the turns - packed in tight.
Kicking it - Bobby's 18 is tops,
As DJ's machine slows then stops.

Fire in the pits - smoke everywhere,
Hamilton has a fire on his deri- air.
Rusty, Stacy, Tony & Robert all crash,
Now the front stretch is full of trash.

At restart - Mikey brings another yellow,
20 laps left - it won't be mellow!
Skinner up front - then his motor dies
Earnhardt and Labonte lead - as green flies.

One two battle - twix the 18 and 3,
Can Earnhardt hold off Bobby Labonte?
At the line - it's Earnhardt by a nose,
Now in Victory lane - he and his crew pose.
